Six security and convenience features that set 998hihi login apart
Every login session at 998hihi is protected by 256-bit SSL encryption — the same level of security used by Maybank and CIMB Bank Malaysia. Your password and session data are never stored in plain text.
Enable two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection on your 998hihi account. Any login attempt from a new device or location will require OTP verification sent to your registered Malaysian mobile number.
998hihi mobile app users can enable fingerprint or facial recognition login on supported devices. Fast, secure, and no typing required — perfect for active Malaysian players.
The 998hihi system automatically detects login attempts from unusual locations. If a login is detected from outside Malaysia or from an unrecognised IP address, you will receive an immediate alert via email and SMS.
To protect your account if you forget to log out, 998hihi automatically ends inactive sessions after a set period. This is especially important if you're using a shared device or public WiFi.
Monitor all activity on your 998hihi account — including login history, deposit and withdrawal transactions, and betting history — directly from your account settings. If you notice anything unfamiliar, report it to our support team immediately.
Logging in to your 998hihi account should be quick, straightforward and, most importantly, secure. As a registered player, you have two main options to access your account: using your username or email with a password, or via SMS OTP sent directly to your Malaysian phone number. Both methods offer a high level of security and can be completed in just a few seconds.
When you log in to 998hihi for the first time from a new device, you may be prompted to complete an additional verification step. This is a security measure implemented by 998hihi to ensure that only you — the legitimate account owner — can access it. Don't be alarmed if you're asked to enter an OTP code even though you haven't manually enabled 2FA; this is an automatic verification for unrecognised devices, designed to protect your account and funds.
There are a few basic security practices we strongly recommend for all 998hihi Malaysia players. First, never share your account password with anyone — including anyone claiming to be 998hihi support staff. Our support team will never ask for your password through any communication channel. If anyone requests your password on behalf of 998hihi, please report it to us immediately.
Second, avoid logging into your 998hihi account over public WiFi — such as at mamak stalls, shopping malls, or airports — without a trusted VPN. While your connection to the 998hihi platform is protected with 256-bit SSL, unsecured public WiFi networks can still expose your session to unnecessary risk. If you need to play slots or check football results on the go, use your personal mobile data instead — it's far more secure.
Third, enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your 998hihi account if you haven't already. This adds an extra layer of security, meaning that even if someone gets hold of your password, they still won't be able to log in without the OTP sent to your Malaysian mobile number. To enable 2FA, go to Account Settings after logging in and look for the Security section.
Most 998hihi players who run into login issues are dealing with problems that are easy to fix. The most common one is a forgotten password — which you can resolve quickly using the "Forgot Password" function right on the login page. Simply enter your email or phone number, verify the OTP code you receive, and set a new password in under 5 minutes.
Another fairly common issue is a temporarily locked account following several failed login attempts. This is a security feature implemented by 998hihi to prevent brute force attacks. If your account is locked, it will be automatically unlocked after 30 minutes, or you can contact 998hihi support via live chat to expedite the process after a brief identity verification.
